La poesía de este libro, no corresponde, como tal vez pudiera pensarse con eso que suele llamarse o alguna vez se llamó, «poesía coloquial», si bien da la impresión, a primera vista de ser cosa de todos los días. Si lo es, por el mero hecho de ocuparse de lo cotidiano, de lo inmediato y de lo íntimamente amado, nos percatamos a poco de leer que Hernández Pasquier (poeta venezolana conocida y reconocida en su país) halla como sin proponérselo lo insólito y lo trascendente en esas cosas sencillas que a veces nos rodean, en el hogar, en la rutina, en la hoja que cae o en el fruto que madura, en los hábitos de alguien querido y en acto de cortar el pan. A eso, precisamente, llega a sabernos la poesía de Rosana, a pan recién horneado y cortado a la mesa.

The poetry of this book does not correspond, to what perhaps used to be called, or sometimes is called, “colloquial poetry”, although at first it gives the impression of being something of the ordinary. Although it is, simply by having to do with things commonplace, those things close at hand and dearly beloved. Like reading Hernández Pasquier’s work, (Venezuelan poet well known in his country) who unintentionally brings to light the unusual and transcendent of those simple, close at hand things, be they household objects or a falling leaf or ripening fruit, or actions of a daily routine, the mannerisms of someone beloved or the act of slicing bread, all these things, lead us to understand Rosanna’s poetry, the transcendence of a loaf of bread fresh out of the oven and served at the table.
